HISTORY
Established in 1950, Tri-Ess has it's initial interest in servicing the needs of both the independent student and schools. Since that time, our customer base has expanded to serving the many diverse needs of industry, both small and large, law enforcement agencies, governmental agencies, the military and the entertainment industries.
Over the past 51 years, we have earned an excellent and enviable reputation for supplying high quality products and excellent service that meets the tough demands of our customers.
In February 1987 we expanded our operation to larger headquarters in Burbank, California.

Tri-Ess Sciences is a multi-faceted scientific supply company which sells chemicals, laboratory equipment, books and special effects through direct sales throughout the world.
ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY
A division of our business is supplying the entertainment industry with quality special effect materials. We have revolutionized the industry with a line of superior smoke products marketed under the name of SPECTRASMOKE that are safe and easy to use. This material has become the standard of the industry. Sales are worldwide, with distributors throughout the United States and Canada.

We are committed to our customers needs! Unlike the larger scientific supply companies, we are able to do that little bit more for our customers. We have a low minimum order for shipping and no minimum for showroom sales.
We are usually able to ship all orders out within 24 hours
and we can have will call orders ready almost immediately. If you have a special situation
that needs our personal attention, please call us, we're happy to help.
